One of Betty Chadduck’s favorite places to be is on the front porch of her Little Rock home, where she enjoys the company of her neighbors. “I lived in the area before, and after I moved I knew I had to come back. I just love this neighborhood,” she says. Colorful Japanese boxwoods in large ceramic pots accent the walkway, which is made from the bricks of an old North Little Rock building, while the charming iron bicycle was a retirement gift from Betty’s co-workers at Blue Cross Blue Shield and holds pink and purple petunias in its front basket, while a thriving ivy plant wraps around the back wheel. The striking blue hydrangeas find their perfect match in the seating area’s pillows, and the ceiling is painted in the same shade of cooling blue. Amidst all the scenic beauty of her home, Betty finds her greatest joy in sharing it with others. “In this neighborhood we walk together in the morning and at night we love to sit out on the porch, drinking lemonade and talking for hours.” she says.
