"As an interior designer, I painted walls, lamps and floors -- anything to make a room work," says Tracy Rivers, owner of Angelfish Studios. "I finally realized my passion for painting in 2001 with the opening of Angelfish Studios." The whimsically named Angelfish infuses a home with the client's personality through painting methods such as customized glazes on cabinetry, rich Italian plaster, personalized murals and a variety of faux finishes for floors, walls and ceilings. Tracy and her team also enhance rooms with gold leafing, hand-painting, lettering and aged glass. While Tracy started with little help, she now has a team of seven talented artisans including Aric Phippin, supervising artist and muralist, Derek Osborne, plaster artist, and Joseph Bartsch, faux artist and muralist. The business has grown due to the high demand for their style of unique finishing and unique interior art, and the team has been excited to work all over the state. They are opening a second location for the growing opportunities in northwest Arkansas, and they have clients as far away as New York, Texas and Florida.
