Royal Overhead Door, Inc. was started in 1967 by Greg Smith Sr, and in 1971 Ted Smith joined his brother as a partner. In 2006 the partners added Bob Strahan as Vice President /General Manager to manage the day to day operations and focus on growth of new markets.

Through the years Royal has remained a family owned and operated company. Since its beginning, Royal has been a premier supplier of overhead doors and related products and is the only IDA ACCREDITED DOOR DEALER IN THE STATE.

 Royal has grown from doing strictly residential garage doors and electric operators into several divisions.  Some of the divisions include Royal Hearth & Home marketing fireplaces, central vacuum systems and outdoor living. Allied Wood Stoves marketing new technology wood heating systems that save customers from high heating costs. Our Royal Commercial Division markets all types of industrial doors including, rolling steel, fire doors, four fold traffic, high speed doors, blast doors, operable walls and hangar doors.

 In 2007 we began marketing all our divisions as the Royal Family of Companies
