Home to three four-year institutions of higher learning—Hendrix College, the University of Central Arkansas and Central Baptist College—Conway has grown by leaps and bounds over the past several years. Just 30 minutes north of Little Rock, Conway is a favorite place for commuters to call home, whether in one of the many newly developed subdivisions or in older, more established neighborhoods. Even though large retail developments have been popping up over the last couple of years, downtown Conway is seeing a grand revival thanks to dedicated patrons that have been in business for decades working to maintain the area, and new shops and restaurants moving into the charming space.
