Little Rock’s mertinsdykehome is a staple of central Arkansas for modern furnishings and eclectic home accessories
Garry Mertins and J. Dyke founded mertinsdykehome in 1998 to showcase their shared aesthetic: interior furnishings and accessories with clean lines and a modern look. After operating out of a store in the Heights and then later in west Little Rock, mertinsdykehome found its current home in the Riverdale Design District in 2008. In an interview with At Home in Arkansas from that time, Garry spoke about repurposing what used to be a well-known deli into the headquarters for his design business and store. “I loved updating such a landmark building and giving it new life,” he said. “And it’s wonderful to be in the design district here. We have an amazing circle of talent.”
When you visit mertinsdykehome today, you’ll be able to shop an array of accessories, design books, lamps, pillows, and gifts in addition to larger furnishings like casegoods and customizable rugs. Two of the store’s most popular brands, American Leather and Universal, showcase the sleek, modern style that has become synonymous with mertinsdykehome.
