Her Art | Mixed media figures and portraits using ink, watercolors, acrylic paint, collages, cement, and resin.
Favorite Subject | “Almost all of my paintings have to do with women. You paint what you know, right?!”
Pieces with Purpose | “I love hearing how collectors connect with my work and where it finds a place in their lives. A lot of my work ends up in women’s professional spaces, inspiring ambition and confidence. I also love hearing when collectors hang my pieces in their daughters’ rooms.”
Arkansas Inspirations | The supportive art community and the state’s ever-evolving mix of people from different backgrounds. “Diversity in representation is a big theme in my work as a result of growing up here.”
Dream Project | A second mural. “I created my first mural in downtown North Little Rock last year, and I am itching to do another one. It doesn’t matter where, but if I could pair it with a cool trip to a new city that would be great!”
Creative Must-Haves | Snacks and comfortable clothes. “Loud music used to be a must, but most times these days I have a sleeping baby [Lisa is mom to 2-year-old Julien and 5-month-old Ruby] snoozing in my studio, and I have started to like the quiet.”
Find Her Work | Lisa’s pieces are available at M2 Gallery in Little Rock and online at lisakrannichfeld.com. You can also follow along on Instagram (@lalalisa).
