One Cart, Three Styles: While holiday gatherings may be limited and smaller in size this year, there’s no reason you can’t open the bar. Here, Tipton & Hurst’s vice president and lead floral designer Chris Norwood uses pieces from the shop to style up three ideas that will take you from turkey to tinsel
GIVE THANKS
“This cart is bountiful and cozy,” Chris says of the rich color scheme as well as its beverage and snack selections, which include bourbon, red wine, cheese, and nuts. A dried-leaf wreath brings color to the bottom tier, while an artificial garland is accented with fresh seeded eucalyptus. Velvet pumpkins speak to a current trend, but could also be exchanged for seasonal gourds from the garden.
SEE WHAT SANTA BRINGS
Create a one-stop destination for the family on Christmas morning with a mimosa service and bite-sized pastry options. While the palette is traditional red and green, whimsy reigns in this design thanks to the addition of Mark Roberts Santa collectibles, which Chris notes can be positioned to sit, stand, kick, or even fly through your décor. Fresh eucalyptus is tucked into artificial cedar garland while a matching wreath is attached to the lower base. Glass Simon Pearce trees echo the barware seen on the top tray.
“Today’s artificial cedar looks so good; you can have all the beauty without the hassle of shedding. I like to mix it with fresh eucalyptus that has a nice sage green color when it dries.”

RING IN THE NEW
If you’ve been counting the days until 2021, steal a few ideas from this zen-inspired cart. Bellinis are served in classic William Yeoward barware, while party crackers in the shape of Champagne bottles are a fun and festive way to celebrate the clock hitting midnight. The cedar garland and fresh eucalyptus from the Christmas cart remained in place for an easy-to-complete transition. A potted orchid sits on the bottom shelf alongside an offering of other beverage choices.
