Architectural detail and a handful of thoughtful materials combine to create a minimalist master bathroom in Fayetteville
When Mona and Tom Jones were introduced to 3GD Inc. co-founders Rich Brya and Porter Winston in 2001, they were also introduced to a new and refreshing contemporary aesthetic that fit their lifestyle perfectly. Twelve years and two houses later, they haven’t looked back. The couple’s current dwelling sits atop a hillside in Fayetteville with idyllic views and lots of privacy—a perfect setting for an open, light-filled master bathroom.
“They wanted the master bath to be luxurious and private,” says Rich Brya, principal architect at 3GD Inc., who teamed up with interior designer Andrea Cornwell of iSpace LLC for the project. Having worked with the Joneses on two previous homes, Brya knew the couple preferred a clean look with lots of natural light. Skylights filter sunlight into all parts of the bathroom, while an expansive window allows for views of both the abundant wildlife and the thoughtful architectural lines and mahogany siding of the home. “It’s not an outdoor shower, but it has that feel,” Brya explains.
