Hallelujah! The laundry room is finished. This has been a huge to-do hanging over my DIY head for a good minute and I’m pumped to have this one conquered. Plus with laundry high on my list of most dreaded chores, if a spruced up laundry room makes the process any more fun, I’m game. Count. Me. In. Before we get into the nitty gritty of how this room came together, let’s jump head first into the before & after pics.
Much improved, right? With the laundry room configuration in its before state, you could only access the space through the carport. (Bummer.) With the relocation of the water heater and addition of a doorway connecting the laundry room to the kitchen, laundry access without having to set foot outside was already a dream come true.
Then the paint roller took control of the terribly filthy pink-ish walls…
Out came the saw and nail gun for a little board & batten action across the far wall…
A few coats of white paint and hooks for storage…
The room was topped off with a few accessories, including this indoor/outdoor rug…
Artwork to add a pop of color…
And the file cabinet I rehabbed in last month’s At Home post…
Before I knew it, this laundry reno was a wrap and this girl was almost excited about doing a load of laundry. Almost.
