On November 16, husband-and-wife team Niki and Jesse Weegens opened the first retail space for their custom furniture brand, American Estates. The couple have been crafting furniture for local coffee shops, restaurants, and retail stores since 2015 but have recently expanded their staff to make pieces more readily available.
“We’re opening the showroom to make our goods more accessible to homeowners and give them the opportunity to set up appointments to talk with us about custom furniture designs and finishes,” Jesse says. The showroom will also have in-stock furnishings for sale as well as décor, rugs, and art—all of which fit the brand’s “urban industrial” aesthetic. From coffee tables to dressers, they create statement pieces built to last a lifetime using wood sourced primarily from the Ozarks. “We love having a connection to our community and celebrating where we live,” Jesse adds.
