A local source for exterior shutters, window shades, and screens recently opened in Little Rock. Bass Outdoor Shutters & Shades is helmed by Laura and Rory Bass, owners of Laura’s Draperies & Blinds in the Heights. “The business idea stemmed from the local clients Laura has serviced for the past 15 years,” Rory says. “Repeatedly, local builders, real estate agents, and designers have requested exterior shutters. There has been a constant need for this kind of product outside of typical box stores, and we are excited to now have the vendors’ and manufacturers’ support we need to provide this service.”
Bass Outdoor Shutters & Shades currently offers in-home consultations, and the company has already grown to include sales reps servicing North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, Florida, and Georgia. Additionally, the Basses have recently acquired Blind Mart, a locally owned company with a 30-year history in Arkansas, to be able to offer window coverings at all price points.
