University of Arkansas Delta Delta Delta alumna and interior designer Melissa Haynes was thrilled with the challenge of remodeling her historic sorority house. Haynes of MH Design infused the house with her signature sophisticated look. In one of the living rooms, she added a modern watercolor to contrast with the more traditional elements of the room. She used a remnant of a vinyl-coated fabric with a punchy confetti pattern to cover a stool from Hickory Chair. The sisal-look rug is manufactured for outdoor use, making it extra-durable. “The redecoration was made possible by a gift to the chapter, and we wanted to do everything we could to make the best use of that investment,” says Haynes. “The house was already filled with beautiful pieces of furniture, artwork, chandeliers and accessories. With this gift we were able to incorporate those meaningful pieces into a fresh new decor scheme and dramatically change the look and feel of the house,” she adds.
