Another fabulous before-and-after from our May issue, this dining room belonging to Kathy & Steve Storey was so dark and small before designer Garry Mertins got his hands on it. On the other side of the glass doors that overlook Lake Hamilton, the deck was rebuilt without a cover, so that plenty of sunlight streams into the home. The ceiling went up, making room for a dramatic chandelier and walls separating the living, kitchen and dining area were removed for an open concept living space.
