The snow days were a perfect time for some armchair decorating, and my daughter Annie and I started talking about refreshing her bedroom. She’s in high school, needing a few pieces that might transition to college and beyond. We began with an inspiration room that caught her eye, a colorful loft full of blues, pinks and touches of green.
A new bed in a timeless style was first choice–she liked the neutral white with vintage knobs on the bed posts.
Colorful bedding was next, and a mixed print with some blue and pink caught her eye.
Mixed with a bright matelasse
And a statement piece like this tribal print chair, which brings together all the colors
All layered on top of a warm rug (we’re thinking about the blue one)
And for the final touch: some lanterns, in a mix of colors
For now, it’s just some armchair dreaming, but come spring, a little room refresher might be in order.
