Our September issue is jam-packed with ideas and inspiration. The kitchens and baths we featured vary in terms of style, but each is functional, beautiful and, most importantly, a reflection of the people who live there. Digging through our archives–and with kitchens on my mind–I came across this beautiful space, whose owner is internationally-known watercolorist George Dombek.Â

Featured in our March 2007 issue, Dombek’s home was inspired by the old decaying barns of the Arkansas Ozarks, which were the subject of his early works. Outfitted with maple cabinets, stainless-steel accents and a tree that appears to grow from the floor, it gives rural architecture an artistic flair–and is truly a reflection of its owner’s style.
