Cara Wilkerson of Live the Home Life gives her pink bathroom a mini-makeover! Some sanding, a coat of paint, and a few cute accessories transformed her 1960s bathroom into a girly respite. Check out Cara’s blog for more before images, and read on for the big reveal!
When I moved into my house, I was excited to get to work updating my new place. Like many homeowners of 1960s ranch style houses, I had a pink bathroom to deal with. Since the bathroom was 100% functional, there was no need to completely demo the entire space, but there was definite room for improvement. With just a little paint and polish, I just knew this dated bathroom could be transformed into a pink palace.
Let’s kick off this mini-revamp with a couple shots of my pink bathroom in its before state…
Once the wallpaper was removed, it was clear who the next victim would be. The giant fluorescent eye sore had to go, along with the ancient light switches.
Then came the task of patching and sanding screw holes…
…and finishing with a fresh coat of paint.
Next up, framing the mirror over the vanity. A simple and inexpensive fix that made a world of difference.
Topped off with a few accessories, this pink bathroom mini-revamp was a wrap!
