It is still not too late to sign up for the Race for the Cure on October 20, 2012.  Show your support by registering online at komenarkansas.org or at the Race Space, our boutique located in Pleasant Ridge Town Center where you can pick up your packet and purchase lots of cute Susan G. Komen merchandise with 100% of proceeds benefiting Komen Arkansas.
There’s lot of new stuff happening at this year’s Race for the Cure! Runners will wear new and improved Race bibs, on which they can write their first name and people along the sidelines can cheer them on by yelling out their names as they run by. Plus, the new Puff Puff station, sponsored by Go! Running, will be set up for participants to “fluff” before they cross the finish line and have  their Finish Line Photos taken! Sponsored by and photos taken by Bedford Camera & Video. We will have four photo booth stations just past the finish line. The official Race Day photos will be available for sale on our Shutterfly website.
Plus, join us for The Pasta Party at Dickey Stephens on Friday, October 19th from 5:30 – 8:30 PM. Tickets are available at Race Space or online or at the door. Plenty of Macaroni Grill food, music by The Rockets and fun for all!
On March 30, 2012 the Arkansas Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure handed out 23 grants totaling $1,250,206 to Arkansas organizations. This year marks the 18th for the Komen organization to award to programs around the state who are working in the fight against breast cancer. For more detailed information on the grant programs funded please visit our website at http://www.komenarkansas.org/
