While our July “Green Living” issue is on newsstands, we’re celebrating local designers, craftsmen and artists, including North Little Rock jewelry designer Amy Kelley Bell of Dimestore Diamonds, whose Honeybee Jade necklace was featured in the July issue of At Home in Arkansas. Amy creates one of a kind retro-inspired necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings from a mix of new and vintage materials and sells them both in her Etsy shop as well as festivals and markets in the central Arkansas area.
“Dimestore Diamonds was hatched partially from my love of music, but also because I consider myself a Dimestore Diamond,” Amy says. “I believe that looking and feeling fabulous is a right that ALL women have. A good friend of mine once told me ‘Girl, you’ve got to fake it till you make it!’ I call my jewelry Dimestore Diamonds because they ‘shine like the real thing!'”
