At Home in Arkansas: What are your 3 must-have items for the new year? Jennifer Huett: 1) I’m loving all the beautiful lacquered pieces now. Bungalow 5 does a extra large 3-drawer chest I bought for my storefront, but decided I had to have it. It looks great in my foyer! 2) I am so in love with Tocca right now. They have the BEST body cream (Crema Da Sogno) and scrubs that make your skin feel amazing! My favorite is Cleopatra–a soft and clean smell. 3) Also loving Kim Salmela’s upholstered pieces. She has an unbelievable sofa called the Coco. It is such a statement piece. AHIA: What is your favorite paint color at the moment? Jennifer Huett: Loving springtime since it motivates so many for a change. What better way than paint! I love Sherwin-Williams Indigo Batik and it looks lovely paired with Benjamin Moore Ballet Sippers (this soft pink is everywhere this season). AHIA: What is the last thing you purchased for a client? Jennifer Huett: A fantastic wall art called Wall Play. Inexpensive and makes such a huge statement! AHIA: Is there a design trend or product you are dying to try or purchase for a client in 2014? Jennifer Huett: I would love to use an amazing chandelier that is all feathers! Grace & Blake makes this statement piece that can be used from a transitional room to a more shabby chic look. AHIA: What is one design secret you can share with our readers? Jennifer Huett: Take RISKS! Don’t be scared to set your own trends. I know so many people who want to add color or step out of their safety zone, but are afraid to do so. Paint is a great inexpensive way to start. Begin with a small accent piece and then maybe venture out to paint a whole room.
