Rogers-based Stitt Energy Systems and the American Solar Energy Society (ASES) are bringing together more than 5,000 homes, schools and businesses across the U.S. to participate in the 14th Annual ASES National Solar Tour to help residents combat rising energy prices and improve property values.
On September 26, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., two solar tour locations will be open in Northwest Arkansas. The public can receive a VIP Pass by calling Stitt Energy Systems at 479-636-8745 or 800-367-7374 before September 26th. These tours are free and open to the public.
The first tour location is the newly renovated and expanded Stitt Energy Systems office, located at 1301 South 8th Street in Rogers, Arkansas, which recently won the Greenest Office in Northwest Arkansas Award from Northwest Arkansas Business Journal and the City of Rogers 2009 Commercial Development of the Year Award.
The second tour location is a residence located at 10068 Sun Ridge Circle, in the energy-planned community of South Sun Estates on the Lake, near Rogers. This beautiful home demonstrates passive solar orientation and features a Photovoltaic System that generates electricity and a solar water heating system. It has a near $0 utility bill and is a past EnergyValue Housing Award winner.
