Polka dots add interest to Cecelia’s classic Juicy Couture trench and Ses Petites Mains brown dress, while her yellow “Cinderella” Mary Janes by Pazitos add a sunny pop of color. Cecelia mixes and matches colorful patterns with the “Super Stripe” Ella dress by Zutano, and polka-dot tights by ZaZa Couture, both available at Everett. A cheery pink polka-dot headband from The Toggery finishes off her look. Cannon sticks to stripes, layering his button-down over a t-shirt and jeans, all by Ben Sherman and available at 3 Monkeys. His gold-stripe slip-on shoes by L.A.M.B., found at Bella Jack’s, continue the theme.

Shades of Pink and Blue
Pretty-in-pink Cecelia wears a knit hat by Sand Cassel Kids, available at Bella Jack’s, which perfectly complements her bird-and-leaf print corduroy dress by Emmilu, available at Patty Cakes. Set the table for summer with a mix of textures and colors and your beautiful tablescape will become the topic of discussion. We began with a Daffodil tablecloth from Xochi and poppy-inspired table runner from The Kitchen Company, Conway. White dinner plates from Paul Michael, Lake Village, balance the vibrant red Vietri salad plates from The Full Moon, Little Rock. We topped them off with Danic cloth napkins in navy, gathered with Marble Curry napkin rings by Xochi, also available at The Kitchen Company. Red pillows, from Ken Rash’s, Little Rock, give a punch of color to any summer table.

From Train to Foot Traffic

Originally built in 1884 so that trains could cross the Arkansas River, the Junction Bridge now offers pedestrians and cyclists a means of traveling between Little Rock’s River Market district and North Little Rock’s Riverfront Park. The nation’s only pedestrian bridge with a lift span, it reopened last year after a decade-long, $5.8 million transformation. Complete with elevators, staircases, benches and even wi-fi access, it’s ready for the next century of use.
