Christen Byrd, owner of central Arkansas balloon-installation company Just Peachy, announced the opening of a new studio space in downtown Little Rock. Christen created her first balloon installation in July 2017 for the grand opening of Loblolly Creamery, where she was creative director. “I started getting occasional requests after people saw that first piece, but then decided to really start pushing it this year,” Christen says.
In September, she phased out her role at Loblolly to focus on Just Peachy full time. The studio will offer a consultation area, workspace, a place for pick-ups, and even office space for her husband, Ryan’s, web design company Perch. “Both of our businesses started out of our home, and we have definitely outgrown it,” Christen says.
Fans of Just Peachy can also look forward to the possibility of educational and crafting workshops led by Christen and other creatives in the future. Find the Just Peachy studio at 217 W. Second St., Suite 105. doingjustpeachy.com
