Assistant art director Laura LaRue is headed to the lake this weekend! And in honor of July 4th, she rounded up a few favorite lakeside-inspired accessories to spruce up any Arkansas waterfront home. (Click here to tour the beautiful waterfront homes featured in At Home.)
This summer, and heading right into fall, one of the hottest color palettes for home and fashion is Coral + Turquoise. It’s popping up all over the place, from the runway to the pages of At Home in Arkansas. This season’s turquoise (dubbed “Lagoon” by Pantone) lends a lively, tropical touch to accessories, like a shawl or handbag or accent pillows in your home. And the more subtle pink-y orange grounds the bright blue as an ideal complement. Scott Paterek of Massimo incorporated it through terracotta marble against the waters of Lake Hamilton (below). Considering the beautiful result, we suggest you spend a little time thinking about ways to work this palette into your life this season too!

From associate editor Paulette Pearson: “Oh. my. goodness. These spaces make my heart sing! The streaming sunlight, the feeling of being tucked away with a bird’s eye view of the city. And I love that it doesn’t take itself too seriously, with tape rug outlines and books propping up the coffee table. Thank you, DesignLoveFest!” (“Lovelylight via DesignLoveFest; click here to see more)
From editor in chief Diane Carroll: “All sorts of favorites come together here: a favorite magazine, Mountain Living, (one of our sister pubs) features The City Sage as a guest blogger, and the post pairs rustic interiors with comfy and casual clothes.
