On college campuses across the country, sorority houses are experiencing high-style makeovers. When the Chi Omega sorority decided to renovate their beloved home on the University of Arkansas campus, Gail Rowland and Tracy Rawlings of R&R Interior Design along with WER Architects/Planners earned the honored task of bringing the historic home into the modern era. Here’s the story on how they made the home work for generations of Chi Os to come.

Gathering spaces at the Governor’s Mansion receive an elegant update to welcome the people of Arkansas

“This is the people’s house,” first lady Susan Hutchinson says of the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion. “It was important to me that the house feel like a home, and that the people who walked through the door felt invited.” To accomplish this, the main gathering spaces of the mansion—the living room and dining room—recently received a refreshing update. Shayla Copas Interiors donated its time to the project. The firm consists of designers Shayla Copas and Marianna O’Dea. The pair worked closely with Mrs. Hutchinson to update the two rooms, both of which are located at the front of the home just off the main entrance.

The HOWSE House Reveal

For the past eight months, we’ve been chronicling the renovation of this Rogers home on our blog. Now, we’re excited to share the end result with you

In February of this year, we shared images of a spacious but dated home in Rogers’ Pinnacle Country Club neighborhood. Purchased by home design retailer, HOWSE, the house has now been completely renovated using their exclusive line of décor and furnishings along with the expertise of their home design professionals.

Jay Howard, owner of HOWSE, was drawn to the property for “its golf course location and unparalleled views.” However, these views were obstructed by the home’s choppy layout and unharmonious hues. “There was a combination of dark, dated colors and bold, bright colors,” Howard says of the original palette of the home, which also featured carpeting throughout and a kitchen that wasn’t functional for the five-bedroom home….

CARTI Cancer Center’s recently opened facility in Little Rock not only meets the physical needs of its patients, but goes above and beyond with a design that is considerate of each person’s overall well-being

For decades, CARTI has been a leader in cancer care in the Natural State. Now, thanks in part to a newly constructed outpatient care facility in West Little Rock, the multi-doctor organization will be able to do even more to help patients who are in the fight of their lives. “We saw about 3,000 patients per year in the old center. We anticipate seeing 20,000 this year at our new site,” says Alison Melson, Vice President of Communication and Marketing at CARTI, in regard to the new building’s capacity….
