A Fayetteville home designed by Harper Howey Interiors is full of color and style and this teen girls’ hangout is no exception. Navy and pink make for a preppy and fun color palette. Imperial Trellis wallpaper by Schumacher creates a whimsical accent wall, while a bright magenta ceiling offers girlish glamour. Paired with a white, tree-inspired table by Stray Dog Designs, two upholstered, high-back chairs from Lighting Emporium provide additional pattern and coordinate with the design. Today, our color inspiration comes from a high-flying collection of birding field guides from a Scott collector. Jerry Butler is an avid bird-watcher and loves spending time looking out the window and exploring the grounds around his home for beloved native birds as well as foreign flyers passing through the state. “March is a particularly good time to watch for new species because of the migration that takes place as winter draws to a close,” he says of the spring season. We’ve been reminded of all the beautiful colors of different types of birds, which are beautifully illustrated throughout Jerry’s collection. Don’t forget, color inspiration can be right outside your window! Read the full story online in the March issue here or find a copy on newsstands.
