AD Interiors Studio renovates a Northwest Arkansas kitchen with a bold color and functional design that will stand the test of time

When designer Ashli Duhamel first met with the owners of this Rogers home, they weren’t sure how far to go with plans to renovate their kitchen. Should it just be paint and countertops? Or is it time to fully redo the space? As the wish list for new appliances, color, draperies, and an overall streamlined look grew, Ashli could tell an overhaul would be in order to produce the result they desired….

A pantry renovation paired with professional organization leaves no gray area for clutter

White cabinets with glass-fronted shelving and black countertops.

When this Bentonville couple built their home in 2021, a roomy pantry with shelving that scaled the walls seemed ideal. “It was spacious, but only had the shelves and a rolling cart we had placed in the center,” the owner says of the area that adjoins their kitchen. Wanting it to reflect the style of the rest of their home and be more organized, they called longtime family friend Lauren Smothers who owns Restore the Home NWA. …

Inspired by the West Coast, designer Riley Lindley gives a Bentonville kitchen a new wave of style and functionality

Wooden kitchen cabinets, marble countertop, and pendant lights.

We have no idea what to do or where to start, but our kitchen is terrible. This was the sentiment clients Elizabeth Ramirez and Scott Bambic shared when they first contacted interior designer Riley Lindley. Having relocated to Northwest Arkansas, they lived in their home for several years before realizing the space—which had limited storage and natural light—was not working. …

Debi Davis updates a west Little Rock dining room with a light palette and fresh pieces that can stand the test of time

Having lived in their home for more than 30 years with few changes, this Chenal couple felt it was time for an update. “We had a really wonderful recommendation for interior designer Debi Davis, and we found she could do all the contracting work at the same time, which we loved,” the homeowner says. Initially wanting to renovate the kitchen and hearth room, they decided to take a look at all of the downstairs living spaces, which flow one into another. Since they often host family for the holidays and friends for everyday gatherings, the dining room became a priority—and a place where they could have some fun with the design….

O’Dea Studios takes a west Little Rock kitchen to the studs to transform its look and functionality

As Louisiana natives, cooking is a favorite pastime for Erin and Kurt Cossé—and it’s not unusual for them to be feeding a crowd. “My husband is a huge chef, and we love to have people over,” Erin says. After living in their home for several years, they were ready to make over both the style and functionality of their kitchen to match this passion. Built in 1985, an early 2000s renovation had left the U-shaped kitchen with distressed cabinets, an island cooktop, and no dedicated dining space. “Kurt wanted the big range and oven, and we also wanted to bring everything up to date,” Erin says.

A west Little Rock kitchen receives a makeover that blends contemporary with classic

When Cecelia and Dr. Dale Blasier walked into the Distinctive Kitchens & Baths showroom, they were ready for a kitchen update. After filling out a questionnaire, owner and lead designer Bill Wrape met with them to go over their needs and expectations. “The whole concept was built around the fact that he loves to cook and she takes care of the cleaning,” Bill says. Namely, the Blasiers wanted to expand the size of their island to create space for seating, eliminate a built-in desk that was rarely used, and update the look of the room. “I always want to fix things in a remodel,” Bill says, adding that cosmetic changes can be a part of that as well.

Tilden House helps a Little Rock family remix their living room for maximum style and functionality

A beloved piece of art was relocated to a prominent spot in the entry. Now, a diptych of framed watercolors selected by the homeowners hangs on the wall behind the sofa.

With a great art collection, love of color, and several heirloom furniture pieces, the owners of this Little Rock home had a head start on their living room before they phoned designer Nikki Hastings and the team at Tilden House for help. “They had some beautiful pieces, but they felt like it wasn’t serving them,” Nikki says. With two children and a penchant for entertaining, the homeowners also knew this room could be doing more in terms of functionality.
